Since its inception in 1983, the Minerva foundation, a not-for-profit, charitable foundation, has promoted novel approaches to the study of the visual brain and brought leading research to the general public through its series of conferences and other forums on creativity, perception, and brain science. The Golden Brain Award has been given annually, since 1985, to an exceptional scientist in our field. The award was instantiated by the late Elwin Marg, then awarded annually by his daughter Tamia Marg Anderson, and now continued by the foundation’s director, Vero Bollow. The recipient is chosen by the previous awardees. You can learn more about the award and foundation, as well as seeing previous winners, at https://www.minervaberkeley.org/golden-brain
